 1.  JOB¹ CONSTANTINE  He married (1) BETTY.    He married (2) MARY WILLIAMSON July 30, 1811 in Stockport St Mary's.  She was born 1882.

This is the church were George Constantine was baptised in December 1805The church overlooks the Market Place. The chancel dates from the 14th century, but the building was sustantially rebuilt in 1817. The church is surrounded by a churchyard paved with gravestones. Some examples are shown here:

Job & Betty were the parents of George Constantine who was born  in December 1805 at Stockport

Job's first wife Betty (yet to find a marriage) died between 1805 & 1811

In 1811 Job remarried a Mary Williamson on the 30th of July 1811 at Stockport St Mary's and the marriage was by Licence.

The parish register Entry said that Job was a Widower and a Hatter and was of the parish of Oldham

In August 1814 a parish Register entry stated that Mary wife of Job died and it said Mary Consterdine and not Constantine, but this could be an error on the Vicars part. It said Mary Costerdine of Manchester aged 32.

“My name is Christopher John Constantine a descendent of Joseph Constantine of Ashton under Lyne. Joseph was the son of George Constantine (born Stockport c 1806 and Sarah Aldred (born Tyldesley c 1804) married 25^th December 1825 at Leigh in Lancashire. I believe George’s siblings were Jane (c 1833), Ann (c 1838) and Alice (c 1847), later Joseph was found to be born in 1828.

3.  JOSEPH³ CONSTANTINE (GEORGE², JOB¹) was born Abt. 1825 in Oldham, Lancashire, and died 1914 in Brunswick, State Victoria, Australia.  He married (1) ELIZABETH NEEDHAM June 5, 1846 in Oldham Parish Church, Lancashire.  She was born Abt. 1825.  He married (2) HENRIETTA JENNINGS March 25, 1867 in Collingwood, suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, daughter of RICHARD JENNINGS.  She was born 1841 in Dublin. Ireland, and died 1913 in Collingwood, suburb of Melbourne, State Victoria, Australia.

Joseph Constantine was a Spinner by trade, he was born in Oldham about 1825 and married a Elizabeth Needham on the 5th of June 1846 at Oldham parish Church.  The witnesses were a Abram Jackson and a Ralph Jackson. Joseph signed and Elizabeth marked. Josephs father was George Constantine also a Spinner.  Joseph was committed to be transported to Australia with others in a riot in Ashton Under Lyne in Lancashire in the late 1840's (See articles page). He subsequently stared another family in Australia

 4.  JOHN⁴ CONSTANTINE (JOSEPH³, GEORGE², JOB¹) was born April 22, 1847 in Dale Street Ashton-Under- Lyne, Lancashire, and died April 28, 1903 in Denaby, South Yorkshire.  He married ELIZABETH ANN WARD December 24, 1869 in St John's Parish church Mexborough, daughter of JOHN WARD.  She was born 1854 in Mexborough, and died March 5, 1919 in 97, Doncaster Road, Denaby, South Yorkshire.

 Notes for JOHN CONSTANTINE:

John Constantine was born In Ashton- Under- Lyne in Lancashire on the 22nd of April 1847. He died of cancer of the liver at Denaby on the 28th of April 1903 aged 54. John's father was down as stone mason on the marriage certificate.

The witnesses at the wedding were a Tom Green and a Charlote Ashton (she Mark) he signed.

 6.  GEORGE⁵ CONSTANTINE (JOHN⁴, JOSEPH³, GEORGE², JOB¹) was born 1880 in Denaby, and died 1955 in Denaby, Fullerton Hospital.  He married ELIZABETH WALTON December 25, 1902 in Denaby all saints.  She was born February 12, 1883 in Don View, Mexbrough, and died 1967 in 19 Hameline Rd Conisbrough.
