Will 23 July 1541

 In the name of God Amen, the 7th day of February  in the year of our Lorde God 1540, I Sibell Lyndley  of Leathley widow (Of Christopher Lyndley) hol of mynde and goode rememberance  make this my last will and testament in manor and forme followinge. First I bequethe my soul to God Almightie and to oure blessed ladie Satie Marie and to all the holie company of heaven, and my bodie to be buried in my parish church of Leathley aforesaide nyghe to my husband. Also I bequeath to Lawrence Lyndley my sonne a silver pece, a silver satlte and 6 of my best silver spoons. Item I bequeath to Jennet Fox one gowne. Also I will that a priest singe for my soull. The residue of my goodes, my debts paide and funeral expenses deducted I put unto Sir Thomas Johnson Knight, Lawrence Lyndley my sone, Thomas Hardwicke  gentleman, Sir Edward Lyndley priest, Richard Lyndley gentleman, Thomas Overton yeoman, and Costance Payten yeoman to the behoof and proffett of my children.Whome I make myne executors of this my last will and testament. These beinge witness – Percival Jenkinson, Hodgson with others
